Captain Barbell circa 1960 (Un-masked) full color

My take on Mars Ravelo's Captain Barbell (A Filipino local super hero)

This is a special commission requested by my friend who's an avid comic collector in the U.S.

This is based on the original 1960 captain barbell costume where this local super hero first pumped his way to the whimsical covers of Komiks (without the mask as per requested). Mars Ravelo based the good Captain's look on circus strongmen, but with the addition of a mask. This is my first time to draw Captain Barbell and I had fun doing this, although It took me a while to finish because of the detailed background, but it's all worth it. I tried another different technique in Inking and coloring this piece, and I am pretty happy with the outcome.

I figured the final artwork needed the golden barbell so I composed it through photoshop.

But, I think there's something in the background that don't match the perspective so well. Just my opinion! ;-)
